 Over the past decade we have seen the evolution of the public hospital into an ideal location for retail development. For economic reasons, hospitals have traditionally been situated in areas offering little in the way of culinary or retail variety - the short amount of time allocated to healthcare workers for their breaks dissuading them from leisurely wandering off to neighbouring suburban facilities to have a hot meal, pay their bills, find a birthday card for loved ones, or even buy the newspaper. Addressing the geographic and emotional isolation felt by the majority of workers, students, visitors and patients in hospitals across the country, Zouki endeavours to provide a broad range of services to meet the many needs of the hospital population.
The idea behind Zouki Convenience is a one-stop shop for everything from a large range of perfumes, gifts and greetings cards to novels, phone cards, baby clothing, sleepwear, toys, confectionery, ice creams, toiletries, stationery, groceries, newspapers, magazines - with a same-day drycleaning service and even an on-site florist.
Zouki Flowers can provide expert floral arrangements for any occasion (yes, weddings too!), as well as gift boxes, fruit baskets and gourmet hampers.
For your next corporate function, Zouki Catering can provide a complete package which includes our sumptuous Zouki food, floral table decorations by Zouki Flowers, staff hire, and custom-made gift baskets or bouquets for the guest speakers or guests of honour. MONASH MEDICAL CENTRE, CLAYTON
Once the first structure was completed in our major development at Clayton, a glass building that drastically enhanced the entire entrance of the Monash Medical Centre was created to house a retail outlet catering for the many Southern Health employees who had, until then, believed the gift shop was only geared towards visitors. In order to keep it attractive to our regular client base, we frequently update our range of items in response to requests and demands.
DANDENONG HOSPITAL
2006 at the Dandenong Hospital began with a fresh new convenience store/kiosk offering its staff and visitors a whole new range of food, gifts, toiletries and newsagency items. With greater display space and a more attractive outlook, we increased the volume and variety of stock, and introducing deli, dairy and bakery items to complement the “convenience” range of products we stock for staff and visitors alike.
CASEY HOSPITAL
Opening the retail outlet with newsagency, gift and convenience items within the first month of our operations at Casey met with resounding approval and gratitude from management, visitors and staff. To accommodate the caffeine requirements of staff and visitors on weekends and later afternoon (when Café Amici is not open), Zouki Convenience also offers an alternate spot for customers to buy their coffees – and even freshly-made sandwiches, cakes, sushi and hot pies!
